Harnessing the materiality of menstrual blood, “Rosse rosse” subverts the shame associated with this organic fluid. The artist seeks neither beauty nor strength, but rather observes the consistency and nuances of the blood as it permeates skin and fabric. These images create an unsettling duality: captured with gentleness, they bear the bitterness of physical pain, provoking a tension in the viewer between aesthetic curiosity and instinctive repulsion.
